Description

The Dexter contributors propose the decentralisation of Dexter through the use of XPRT governance. This aligns Dexter more closely with the Persistence Ecosystem, concurrently strengthening the power of XPRT governance.

Decentralising Dexter (XPRT for Dexter) involves three crucial proposals that necessitate approval from XPRT governance across two proposal cycles. The proposed actions are as follows:

  1. Migration of the multi-staking contract
  2. Instantiation of Dexter Governance Admin contract
  3. Move ownership from Multi-staking admin and Vault-admin multi-sigs to Governance admin contract

This proposal marks the second step (2/3) in Cycle 1 of the XPRT for Dexter initiative.

Proposal

The Dexter team proposes to instantiate the deployment of the Dexter Governance Admin contract with code ID: 10, a critical step toward decentralising Dexter through XPRT governance.

Key features of Dexter Governance Admin Contract:

  1. Dexter Governance Admin Role:
Acts as the owner of key Dexter contracts, including Dexter Vault and Dexter Multi-staking

  2. Chain Governance Control:
All actions on the Dexter Governance Admin contract are exclusively executable through chain governance, placing control firmly in the hands of XPRT stakers, and thereby fortifying Persistence chain governance. With XPRT governance acting as a robust deterrent against spam within the Dexter protocol, this activation ensures the alignment of pool parameters and incentives with the vested interests of XPRT stakers.

  3. Enhanced Protocol Functionality:
The Dexter Admin contract allows anyone to propose the creation of new pools and introduce new reward schedules for any pool. However, the execution of these proposals is contingent upon the approval of XPRT governance.
This transformative step makes Dexter a more open protocol, actively fostering innovation and broadening participation. By enabling users to actively shape the protocol's landscape, Dexter embraces decentralisation ethos, empowering the XPRT community to contribute to the protocol's evolution.
